Exceeding quality rating
Independently assessed by the NSW Department of Education as exceeding the National Quality Standard, above the rating most centres achieve.
Early learning done the right way since 2014.
Our story
Woodport Early Learning Centre opened in February 2014 as a locally owned and operated long day care at 2–6 Woodport Close, Green Point. We're not part of a corporate chain. The owners are locals, the team are locals, and the decisions are made here, in the centre, every day.
We care for up to 60 children a day, aged 6 weeks to 6 years, across three age-based rooms. And we're proud to have been assessed by the NSW Department of Education as exceeding the National Quality Standard for early childhood education and care.
Woodport Early Learning Centre continues to be recognised by the NSW Department of Early Childhood Education and Care as exceeding the requirements of the National Quality Standard in at least four of the seven quality areas.
Our philosophy
The early childhood years are an integral time in a child's development. Our educators take care to nurture, support and build meaningful, respectful relationships with each individual child, because a child who feels a strong sense of belonging is a child ready to learn.
That means highly trained, qualified educators, age-appropriate equipment and learning activities, and a genuine commitment to every educator's ongoing professional development.
What makes us different
Woodport is a unique childcare centre because we offer exceptional education and care, delivered by a highly qualified team of teachers and educators whose qualifications exceed the minimum levels required to comply with governing regulations and standards.
Our low staff turnover means your child is cared for by familiar faces they know and trust, year after year, giving young children the continuity they need to feel secure, belong and thrive.
We are proud of our ability to develop and empower our teachers and educators to achieve long-term success, investing in their growth, backing their expertise, and fostering an enduring commitment to excellence in early childhood education.
That commitment shows up every day: in our Exceeding rating, in our programs, and in the relationships our educators build with every child.

Family stories
“When we relocated to the coast from Sydney, choosing a day care that suited our needs but also came with a high level of care was of highest importance. Upon phoning Kristy to enrol our son her calm ‘no worries’ manner had won us over. Nothing was too much trouble for her or her team. Kristy and her amazing staff made the transition for our son so seamless and stress free. The low turnover of staff has made us confident that we chose the best day care service as well as the awesome facilities and activities the centre has. Our eldest son flourished in their pre-school program and we are very confident our baby starting day care will be extremely well looked after. Additionally, the amazing meals prepared on site are very well thought out and packed full of hidden veggies and essential nutrients for our young children.”– Jacqueline Bury, Woodport parent
“Woodport Early Learning Centre and staff are absolutely the best of the best and I firmly believe is the best childcare centre on the Central Coast. They have clean and functional facilities with large play areas suitable for all age groups. Kristy leads an amazing team who feel more like an extension of our family than simply staff. They are fun, creative and engaging and go above and beyond everyday to make sure all the children have the very best day. I cannot recommend this centre highly enough.”– Justine Dittel, Woodport parent
“All three of my children attended Woodport Early Learning Centre. I was a parent at Woodport ELC for 6 years in total, and in that time, I did not have any problems at all. My children came home happy and enthusiastic about their day time and time again. The activities organised by the centre are second to none. The staff became part of our extended family and it honestly brought tears to my eyes when we all had to say our goodbyes. I would highly recommend Woodport ELC to all families looking for a caring, down to earth and organised centre.”– Kelly Middlemiss, Woodport parent
